Eğitim-Bir-Sen Deputy Chairman Şükrü Kolukısa attended the 3rd Ordinary General Assembly of the Independent Secondary Education Teachers' Union (SYLEG) in Ivory Coast.

On behalf of the Ivory Coast Ministry of Labor, inspector Prof. Traore Flavien, President of the Ivory Coast Trade Union Confederation Zadi Gnagna and Senegal Independent Educators Union President Abdou Faty and guests from all over Ivory Coast attended the meeting.

Şükrü Kolukısa thanked SYLEG Chairman Charles Alain Kla for their invitation and said that he believed the friendship that started five years ago between Eğitim-Bir-Sen and SYLEG will continue for many more years.

Kolukısa said “The greatest hope of a country is the new generations and raising the new generation correctly is only possible with education. The most important actor that directly affects the quality and power of the education system in a country are teachers.”

SYLEG Chairman Charles Alain Kla stated that they are a union that attaches great importance to experience sharing and said, "I would like to thank Eğitim-Bir-Sen, which organizes many activities in this context, and I would like to express that we have benefited from its experience."

Within the scope of his program Şükrü Kolukısa visited Maarif Foundation Ivory Coast Officer Oğuzhan Uğurlu and Embassy of Turkey in Abidjan and met with the Ambassador Havva Yonca Gündüz Özçeri.
