A visit to the Bahrain Education Syndicate and the UAE Teachers Association

In the context of the strategy of strengthening trade union relations and international integration between relevant labor sectors, adopted by the Memur-Sen confederation, our delegation of Eğitim-Bir-Sen participated in Memur-Sen confederation's visit to Bahreyn Free Trade Unions Federation. Several fruitful meetings were held between the committees with common competencies between the two unions to find out the latest union developments and discuss ways of international integration between unions and labor power. Our delegation of Eğitim Bir-Sen represented by the General President Mr. Ali Yalçın and the Vice President Mr. Ramazan Çakırcı met with the General President of the Bahrain Education Trade Unions Mrs. Safia Shamisan and members of its Board of Directors. The two parties exchanged information about the structures and determinants of union work in both countries. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance the union's role to build a sustainable education system. Also, the two parties stressed the need to build joint strategies to enhance union solidarity between the two unions.


 

Our delegation also visited the Education City in Bahrain and was acquainted with some public and private education institutions.



 

After that, our union delegation headed to the United Arab Emirates to meet with the Emirates Teachers Association.

Our delegation visited the Zayed Educational Complex in Sharjah and was briefed on the latest facilities and educational technologies used in the United Arab Emirates. Our delegation also visited the University City in Sharjah. Subsequently, the joint meeting was held in the center of the association and was attended by our delegation and the executive council of the association. Mr. Salah Khamis Al Hosani spoke about the goals and visions of the association and briefed our delegation on the services provided by the association in the education sector. Mr. Ramazan Çakırcı expressed his appreciation for the work of the association and stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two institutions and stressed the need for exchanging experiences and deepening relations. In the end, Mr. Çakırcı thanked Mr. Salah Khamis Al Hosani and his board members for their hospitality and praised their important role in the educational system in the fraternal UAE.
